Cumann na mBunscoil win!
On Monday last, the 5th and 6th class girls Gaelic team took part in the semi final of Cumann na mBunscoil in McHale park! They were up against excellent opponents from Westport but played tremendously and came away with the win! They will take part next Wednesday in the final. We wish them the very best of luck!

🌊 Splashing Success: Our PAWS Water Safety Lesson!
We were thrilled to welcome the amazing Rosie O'Regan from PAWS (Primary Aquatics Water Safety )to talk to all our classes about the vital importance of staying safe around water. 🏗️ We Built Ballyvary: 2D & 3D Local Area Project! 🏗️
Our 4th class room has been transformed into a mini-construction site! Over the last few weeks, the children have been working hard to recreate our local area in both 2D and 3D. It wasn't always easy! We had a massive "lightbulb moment" when we realised that looking at a map from a birds-eye view changed everything. Looking after the Ballyvary Birds :-)
There was great excitement this week as 2nd Class teamed up with 6th Class to create colourful bird feeders from recycled milk cartons. After learning about common garden birds and how to care for wildlife, the children got to work designing and painting their feeders using bright acrylic paints. Swimming Success in Salthill 🏊♂️

Connacht Finals Badminton Success 🏸
What a day in Castlerea, on January 28th 2026!! Our boys' and girls' badminton teams took to the courts for the Connacht Schools Finals, showcasing skill, determination, and teamwork. Fantastic Success in the Credit Union Art Competition 🎨
