4th Class Adventure on Achill Island! 🌊🏹

What a day we had on our 4th Class school tour! We headed off to the Achill Outdoor Education Centre for a jam-packed morning of adventure. The children had an absolute blast out on the water, trying their hand at kayaking and stand-up paddleboarding—and of course, the absolute highlight was getting to jump right into the water! Once we dried off, the fun continued on dry land with some thrilling wall climbing and archery.

Next up, we visited the fantastic Achill Aquarium and Visitor Centre. Elaine and the whole team made us feel so incredibly welcome. We had a wonderful, educational question-and-answer session with Kevin, which the children loved, and we even got to pick up a few treats in the souvenir shop afterward!

Our final destination of the day was the wonderful Nevins Newfield Inn. They looked after us so well and made sure everyone was well fed. As a lovely surprise, they even treated us all to an unexpected ice cream!

We arrived back at the school at 5:15 PM—a group of very tired, but very happy campers.
