Maths Week Mayhem :-)

Last week was Maths Week, and we had so much fun in our school! We learned that Maths isn't just in our textbooks—it is truly all around us every single day.

For homework, we got to try out some really exciting hands-on activities. We built creative structures with Lego and went on math hunts around our homes, counting things like the number of cups in our kitchens!

In class, we love using websites like Starfall and Top Marks to play interactive numeracy and literacy games. We also had a blast with 6 Bricks! It is such a fun activity, and we learned so many great language, math, and shape skills while playing.

One of our favourite highlights of the week was working with real-world catalogues! We brought in toy catalogues from Smyths and various supermarket flyers to tackle math challenges in pairs. We searched for the most expensive and least expensive items, found products that cost the exact same amount, and created our ultimate wish lists with a budget of €50.

It was a week full of discovery, teamwork, and great fun!
