Smiles, Sacks, and Screaming Races: Sports Day 2026 Was a Smashing Success!

What a day! On Monday, 15th June 2026, the school field came alive for Sports Day. After weeks of anticipation & rain, the weatherman delivered the absolute perfect conditions—not too hot, not too cold, beautifully dry, and ideal for a day of non-stop activity.

8 Stations of Pure Fun

A massive shout-out goes to our fantastic 5th class teacher and her creative pupils, who completely outdid themselves this year. They devised and ran 8 brilliant action-packed stations that kept everyone on their toes.

The children moved around in small mixed groupings, ensuring everyone got a chance to join in the fun. Some of the day's highlights included:

• The Screaming Race: (A loud favourite where lungs were tested as much as legs!)

• Catch the Rugby Tag: Fast-paced, tactical, and full of energy.

• The Penalty Shoot-Out: Testing everyone’s soccer skills under pressure.

• The Classics: The timeless, ever-popular Egg and Spoon and Sack Races that brought out everyone's competitive streak!

From the competitive dashes to the hilarious novelty events, great fun was genuinely had by all classes.

A Huge Thank You to 5th Class!

An event like this takes a lot of planning and energy, and our 5th class completely stepped up to the mark. They explained the rules, cheered on the younger students, and made sure the whole day ran like clockwork.

Thank you, 5th class, Mrs. Hunt & Mr. Moynihan, for organising such a memorable, active, and joyful Sports Day 2026. We loved it!
