What a year of thinking outside the box!
Behind the doors of the 3rd class classrooms, some serious magic has been happening. Throughout the year, our brilliant students have plunged headfirst into the world of STEMÂ (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Maths), proving that learning is at its best when it's hands-on, collaborative, and incredibly fun.
Here’s a look at how 3rd class mastered the art of critical thinking this year:
🤖 High-Tech Builders: LEGO & Chromebooks
A huge highlight of our engineering journey was the LEGO Spike challenge! Using Chromebooks to follow blueprints and instructions, the children didn’t just build—they engineered. From motorised gears to robotic creations, they learned first-hand how coding and construction go hand-in-hand.

♟️ The Ultimate Brain Gym: Chess & Strategy
Move over, grandmasters! 3rd class took to the chessboard this year with amazing focus. Chess taught us to think three steps ahead, patience, and how to analyse an opponent's move. The concentration in the room during our chess sessions was absolutely electric.

🎲 Dice, Decks & Dominoes: Maths in Disguise
Who says maths has to be about worksheets? We levelled up our numeracy and logic skills through classic games:
Snakes & Ladders:Â Probability and counting with a competitive twist!
Card Games & Dominoes:Â Pattern recognition, strategic risk-taking, and lightning-fast mental maths.

🤝 The Real Magic: Teamwork & Critical Thinking
Beyond the blocks and board games, the real triumph of the year was how the children worked together. Every activity challenged them to:
Communicate:Â Listening to other people's ideas to find the best way forward.
Problem-Solve:Â What happens when the LEGO structure collapses or a chess strategy fails? You pivot, try again, and come up with a better solution!
Celebrate Each Other:Â Cheering on teammates and learning from mistakes together.
