St Brigid’s Day Crosses 🌿

We had a wonderful morning on Friday celebrating St Brigid’s Day by making traditional crosses from rushes. The school was buzzing as pupils got hands-on with this much-loved tradition. We were delighted to welcome some past pupils, who kindly visited the school to give a helping hand with the cross-making. Connacht Finals Badminton Success 🏸

What a day in Castlerea, on January 28th 2026!! Our boys' and girls' badminton teams took to the courts for the Connacht Schools Finals, showcasing skill, determination, and teamwork. After a series of intense matches, the girls team won their final & with the boys team reaching a semi final it means both teams have secured their spots in the All-Ireland Finals in Baldoyle, Dublin on March 4th!! We are so lucky to have wonderful facilities at the rear of the school. There is a full size Gaelic Pitch, a Soccer Pitch, an all weather Astro Pitch along with a walking track for all to enjoy!
